My art holds a deep personal significance as I explore the intricacies of identity within the realms of motherhood, grief, culture, and our interconnectedness with the environment. Drawing inspiration from the vast tapestry of history, culture, and mythology, I intergrate these elements into my present experiences. My process involves two main stages; creating collages, using diverse materials, including vintage magazines, inherited books, old photographs, beach combed treasures, and trinkets collected since childhood, which i reference into my paintings with the use oils, acrylic and pigments.
By merging culture, environment, and nostalgia, my art becomes a visual bridge, fostering connection and nurturing appreciation for the intricate harmony between humanity and the natural world.
